How Pinterest reads your tags
Article Pins
Pinterest requires og:type set to article or blog, og:title and og:description. og:site_name is optional but strongly suggested, and og:url and og:image are optional.
Product Pins
Pinterest requires og:type set to product or og:product, og:title, product:price:amount and product:price:currency. og:site_name, og:url, og:description and og:image are optional.
Image
og:image is described as the URL for a high-resolution image, and you can add up to six og:image tags.
Text
The title and description may be truncated, depending on length, and all formatting and HTML tags are removed.
Syncing
It may take up to 24 hours for the content from your site to sync to your rich Pin. Adding meta name="pinterest-rich-pin" content="false" to a page removes its rich Pin data.
